Officially The Governor Michael S. Dukakis Transportation Center at 700 Atlantic Avenue, since November 2014, South Station is the largest railroad station and intercity bus terminal in Greater Boston. Surrounded by impressive buildings along Federal and High Streets, it is New England's second-largest transportation center after Logan International Airport. 

This historic train terminal, opened in 1898, now serves thousands of commuters and travelers, joggers and walkers, and shoppers and shmoozers, and diners and vendors each day.
